I don't think those are the specs, Barts looks way to big for its die size compared to 5700/junpier, and i doubt cayman will be that big, its almost bodering on HD2900 or GTX280/5 size IMO.

Amazing if true. 2x the pixel performance for 6870 over 5870 and 2GBs of ram and 282GB/sec memory bandwidth over 512-bit bus!

Also, based on those numbers, looks like 6770 will be between 5850 and 5870 in performance. However, this is contrary to the recent rumours that 6770 will be positioned to compete with the GTX460 1GB.

Certainly, if those specs are true, AMD has exceeded all expectations on 40nm. I can't even imagine what beast this card could have been on 32nm

Without credible sources, it's impossible to tell.

no, not without a source, otherwise anyone can edit that page and it happens all the time prior to the release of a new GPU chip/family

the biggest red flag isn't any of the individual specs, but the fact that the entire 6000 series seems to be fleshed out there, which has never happened. We were still speculating and wildly guessing on the makeup of the 5700s after the actual release of the 5800s.

So, the interesting part is 1536 ALUs giving 3264 Gflops at 850. If that's the case, then half of those shaders are 50% more powerful than ATI's current shaders.

But yeah, probably hogwash. Would be great if true, but it's a huge longshot.

Hogwash, I would think. I don't see Cayman having a 512 MB or 2gig RAM for the reference design. 256 with 1GB of faster RAM (1600) seems more plausible.

Oh, I'm sure it will have more than 1GB. If not, a lot of people, myself included, will refuse to buy it. 1GB is not enough for eyefinity, and it's starting to get pretty small for 2560x1600 too.

I said "reference" design. I'm sure there will be 2gig cards. A 1gig though will fill the needs of most and will allow for a better price point. I would definitely expect eyefinity versions @ 2GB and you'll pay extra for them.

I think it will be standard. Can't see us stuck at 1GB for 3 generations.

-looks like the pricing has been removed or it hasn't there this morning and I'm having a brain fart.

It seems those specs keep changing, I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

Anyway, 4 TFLOPS seems awfully high, if they say the shaders are easier kept fed that could be a monster.

Of course they all look bogus.

Lol, the specifications are going upwards. Total BS, but it's possible one of the specs but on wikipedia will be spot on due to the "shotgun approach" ;)

And the TDP looks wrong, how would they be able to make a 330W TDP 6970 with GPUs from a a 210W card?

Every card is going to have Double-precision FP?

And why is the Eyefinity 6970 clocked so slightly higher?

Good reading though.

If those TDP ratings are true, then there will be more noise and more heat. Looks like they're raising performance by increasing power usage, which I guess all you can do if you stick with the same 40nm fab.

HD5750 16 idle / 86 load
HD6750 25 idle / 135 load

Depends on how you look at it. If 67** performs on par with 58** then it's more perf/W.
