I've been in and around San Francisco and Napa for the past week. Today i finally had the chance to visit Muir Woods and take Highway 1 over to Stinson Beach... My god, what a beautiful state you guys have... I've always loved Florida, but you guys have it good over here... Amazing...

how hot was it in napa? thinking of going there sometime this summer.

Mid 80's during the day, upper 60's/low 70's at night... It was fine until we had to wear suits most of the day yesterday...

yes north cal is really pretty. i however, like hiking in the appalachian mountains better. they are so beautiful. i loved taking bike trips in good ol' MD. it is such a beautiful state.

Some of the best weather in the world too. Except for a few really hot days it's near perfect most the year.

I used to live there. And in all my travels I've never found a place with as nice weather. A lot of it is because of no humidity at all. How the rest of the country can live with Humidty is beyond me. And I love how the cool air comes in at night from the Pacific. And yes a gorgeous State too.

well san francisco was a bit cold for my tastes before noon and at night, but still an amazing city...

Never realized it got so damn cold there, even in the middle of summer. I was freezing my ass off during the fireworks.

Well yeah actually in San fran can be quite cold. The funny thing is if you just cross the Golder gate out of the city it will be 20 or 30 degrees warmer just a couple minutes from where you were in the city.

Have you noticed a lack of insects and pests compared to Florida - especially mosquitos?
They don't lack them, trust me, they just don't have as many.

The reason there is so many more in Florida is because they is more standing water in Florida just as there is in Minnesota and Alaska
