Northbridge Heatsink

I installed my Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer today and it was a nightmare, I have an Asus P5QC motherboard and there are heatsinks surrdounding the CPU so I had to take off the Northbridge CPU for the brackets and everything to lock in place. Now I cannot seem to screw back in the heatsink, the screws have little springs with them and when I try to screw them in, they just keep spinning and do not screw in.

I am sorry about what happened to the motherboard. Normally, you shouldn't need to remove the NB Heatsink to install the CPU heatsink. Additionally, because NB lacks IHS, improper handling of NB heatsink due to frustration could crush the NB chip.

You should move the motherboard out of the case, so you can reinstall the NB heatsink properly.

P.S. I dont know how you can screw a screw. I can only turn a screw.

If you are going to OC by chance...maybe you could get some aftermarket NB cooling and work it to your favor.
