Northbridge cooling??

I have a soltek sl-k8t939-pro and I am wondering if upgrading to a zalman northbridge cooler would give me better cooling?? I don't know much about northbridge cooling or what the northbridge really does but I was told if it is kept cooler you can get better or more stable overclocks. is that true?
 
I doubt it would make much of a difference overclocking but if your current northbridge is actively cooled it will make a pretty big difference acoustically.
