Northbridge Cooler

I've been toying with the idea of overclocking my A8N-SLI Deluxe. Currently I have replaced the crappy stock HSF that came on the northbridge with the Zalman NB47J, however I am not overclocking so I think its suitable right now. My case is the Coolermaster Centurion 5 case which has an 80mm intake fan, but the fan I'm using is an undervolted Vantec Stealth because it was too loud, which provides enough air to cool my HD but not much air reaches the NB47J.

I also have a Zalman VF700 on my 7800GT which provides a 'little' airflow on the NB47J. The NB47J does get hot to the touch after hours of operation, but I've noticed zero performance flaws for almost a year now (but its not overclocked).

Now my question.. if I plan to overclock my A8N-SLI Deluxe to a 250mhz FSB, should I invest $30 into COOLER MASTER 40mm Sleeve Blue LED Light Northbridge Cooling Fan to ensure adequate cooling, considering the minimal airflow currently reaching my NB47J (or better yet, is this even a good cooler)? I know overclocking can degrade the lifespan of components, but I'd like to extend my components life as much as possible. Any thoughts or ideas are greatly appreciated!

the heatsink looks kinda overkill for a northbridge. i would spend the money on more case fans for better airflow. what cpu hsf are you using btw?

geebus look at the size of that thing. just having the heatpipe and the fins is already overkill, adding the fan is going way overboard

It looks really big and awkward. Get the Swiftech MCX159Cu instead.

I have one of those, it works pretty good. I removed tha fan on mine, it was way too loud. It works well passivly, although i do hav pretty good case airflow.

Installation was a PITA though.
