Dumdum.

There are tasks for local governments and tasks for federal government. Socialists feel that everything should be the task of the federal government. People against socialism favor the traditional system outlined in our constitution.
What does the Constitution say about interstate highways?

As always, yes you are.
Negatory. "Private Ownership", a key fundamental difference between Capitalism/Free Markets and Socialism was not hindered by Fascists in any way(unless you were Jewish or some other "undesirable", but that's a whole other issue). The Fascist State did not take Ownership of Industry, it became Partners with Industry, enriching Industry's Private Owners. Right Wing down the line, not Left at all.

I love it. It's funny because it's true. Just read yesterday that 55% of voters think Obama is a socialist. So We The People, the majority of this nation, agree with this billboard.

Strong. United. Motivated. NOMORE
Strong. United. Motivated. NOBAMA!
Strong. United. Motivated. NOVEMBER!!!!!!
You are pure filthy scum. Comparing Obama to monsters who killed millions of people is not only insane, it shows how much of an asshole you are by belittling those who died.

Commerce Clause. Interstate highways are the jurisdiction of the Federal government. Local roads are not. There's a big difference between "interstate highways" and "all roads".

Gasoline taxes pay for roads at all levels of government (or, atleast they're supposed to, and they would if they didn't go in to the "general fund").

People who use this as an example of capitalism don't understand our constitution or our system of government. It's a poor example which doesn't make sense.

Put your pipe down for just a minute or two ...

7. We demand that the State shall above all undertake to ensure that every citizen shall have the possibility of living decently and earning a livelihood. If it should not be possible to feed the whole population, then aliens (non-citizens) must be expelled from the Reich.

10. The first duty of every citizen must be to work mentally or physically. No individual shall do any work that offends against the interest of the community to the benefit of all.

Therefore we demand:

11. That all unearned income, and all income that does not arise from work, be abolished.

12. Since every war imposes on the people fearful sacrifices in blood and treasure, all personal profit arising from the war must be regarded as treason to the people. We therefore demand the total confiscation of all war profits.

13. We demand the nationalization of all trusts.

14. We demand profit-sharing in large industries.

16. We demand the creation and maintenance of a sound middle-class, the immediate communalization of large stores which will be rented cheaply to small tradespeople, and the strongest consideration must be given to ensure that small traders shall deliver the supplies needed by the State, the provinces and municipalities.

Nonsense. Obama thinks exactly as they did. You can see it in his words, actions and deeds. They are his role models. He is following in their footsteps, down their exact same path. Sorry if you can't see it.

Maybe because you conservatives cried wolf so many times, like when progressives tried to abolish slavery, grant women the right to vote, and end Jim Crow and you argued "states rights"....
You are one typically stupid "progressive" motherfucker. Not a single conservative on this board argued "states rights" regarding any of those concerns.

What does the Constitution say about interstate highways?
The interstate highway system was originally justified as necessary to national defense and national defense is clearly defined as a federal function in the Constitution.

I thought conservatives hated broad interpretations of the commerce clause? What about "interstates" that don't travel between states? Why does the federal government pay for those?

You should really take the robe off before looking in the mirror. You'd see that the person staring back at you resembles Hitler much more than Obama ever could dream to.

It is not really an overly broad use of the commerce clause and the debate has been around as far back as the founders. Similar arguments were raised when Federal money was used for the Cumberland Road under President Jefferson. Then as now there was a military aspect to it along with the commerce clause.

Then the same argument can be made for national health care. Having a vast underclass without medical care can lead to serious epidemics that weaken the social stability of the country making it more open to attack.

Throw in 'farm-to-market' years ago, and the legitimate fear that 'monied' interests would re-route existing trails/roadways to their personal benefit (as with the early days of rail).

The 25 Points of Hitler's Nazi Party
....
What you fail to point out is that by the early 1930s (after entrenching themselves) the Nazzis dropped their "25 points".

Kinda like the Cons dropped "term limits" with their Contract On America. :D

Congrats on your fail.

You don't even read what you post do you?

The fine print on the sign is LaRouche...someone who is farther left then Obama is.
You're old (and out-of-date). LaRouche dropped the Marxist rhetoric in the 1970s and considers himself a simple enemy of the global financial system, and financial speculation and deregulation.

Most folks describe LaRouche as a neo-fascist, and consider him to be a Right Wing Nut Job who believes we should all be governed by super-elites.

And your lame-ass attack simply 'begs' the point of the OP. Please try again.

If you don't see the issue with comparing Obama to someone who killed MILLIONS of innocent people, you truly are a fucking idiot. As I said, you belittle the lives of those who were lost. Rot in hell.

You must be new here and have not been either de-sensitized or at least mentally put him on ignore.
