pepsi with regular sugar, instead of HFCS
Negative. Pepsi Throwback is apparently an older formula. The current formula of Pepsi, with regular sugar instead of HFCS, would not taste the way it does. That, and the bottle lists a different ingredient list than the current formula.
And with that said, the Throwback tastes a hell of a lot better than the current Pepsi formula. I won't drink Pepsi unless it's the only thing available. I'd still drink the current HFCS Coke over the Pepsi Throwback, but the Throwback tastes a lot closer to Coke than today's Pepsi. Between the two, I could drink either and not complain. Can taste a difference, but it's an acceptable difference, both are tolerated equally. Current Pepsi, I cannot even tolerate if given a choice.

I want the blue Mountain Dew back. Also...
...bring back SURGE.
I do miss Surge. Original Surge. After Surge was dropped from the lineup, they brought it back, but with less caffeine, not sure if the formula was any different in any other way.
But currently, Vault is a LOT like Surge, though a little more carbonation and with more of a bite. Vault is a worthy successor imho, and I'll gladly take that over no Surge-type drink from Coca Cola. And Vault does have more caffeine than Mtn Dew. Unlike with Coke/Pepsi, I'll take either Mtn Dew or Vault, based on what is available. Have no real preference... both taste great, extremely different, but great nonetheless. I like how Mtn Dew has very little carbonation in comparison to most other pop, but I like the overall flavor anyhow, and yet I also love the flavor and bite of Vault (acidic bite).
you're getting raped.Originally posted by: Tiamat
Here, the 20oz bottles go for 1$ each whereas the normal HFCS one goes for $1.70
I have had plenty of Mexican Coca-Cola made with regular sugar, tastes about the same as the American Coca-Cola made with HFCS to me. Pepsi might be different though, I cannot comment on that since I do not drink it.Originally posted by: brandonbull
Sugar = old school
HFCS = new school/garbage

I don't think Voltage ever went real sugar, it was just Pepsi and regular ol' Mountain Dew.
I didn't even know Jones made cola, I'd happily get it if I could. All we get here is green apple and the infernal FuFu Berry flavor. Even the name of it is infuriating.
The only HCFS-free option we have around here is Boylans, which is great stuff, except I haven't seen THAT for a few months either, and when they do have it you can only buy it in 4 packs of 20 oz bottles, which costs 7.99 a pack. No thanks.

To stick to the topic, I haven't even seen Pepsi throwback anywhere here yet. I still have a couple of bottles of Kosher Coke though.![]()

Yeah, FAIL on Pepsi's part. Normally I hate pepsi, but I would jump at the chance for a non-HFCS cola. It was decent. Seeing as Pepsi will probably not bring this back but every few years, there is only one option for non-HFCS cola for the rest of us: NEBRASKA MUST BURN!!!!

fortunately, our costco regularly carries coke with real sugar instead of HFCS... tastes great.

It uses 'inverted cane sugar'. I don't really understand why it's "inverted" in the first place.
According to wiki. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invert_sugar
"Inverted sugar syrup can be easily made by adding roughly one gram of citric acid or ascorbic acid, per kilogram of sugar."
