You do know that AOL is like a zombie, it'll start eating your brain in those few days. Then you'll always want to use AOL.

Aphex.. just go without the intarweb for 5 days, it's better than having the plague put onto your computer.

I needed dial up on my laptop while on vacation last month and used an aol trial.

When I got home I called to cancel that crap.
The girl on the line says "ok, you don't want aol because you have cable and dont want to pay anything right?" I say that's right. So she says well no need to cancel just keep the aol account and you will never be charged for it. I'm thinking well, ok. I wont have open a new account trial next time I'm on vacation.

She sends me an email saying it was a pleasure talking to me and I will get a followup email shortly.
A week goes by and no email. I'm keeping an eye on this because I am skeptical. then I get a letter in the mail saying "This letter confirms that on 08/27/04 you agreed to continue your aol membership. Your service will be continued and you will be charge $23.90 per month as agreed."

Then on the reverse there is a form letter to send in to cancel that states this:

"I called to cancel my aol on ______________. I did not wish to continue my aol. Please cancel my account upon receipt of this request.

WTF - B*ST*RDS!

Grab Juno/NetZero for dial-up backup.
I keep a copy on my laptop incase I get to where broadband access is not available while on the road.

Also, using AOL will keep you from ATOT. Cold Turkey:brokenheart:

Too bad you won't be able to post on AT for those 5 days. AOL IPs are banned. ;)

How about using a free trial of anything else other than AOHELL?

Earth Link comes to mind.
