it crashed, and poof, i realized all my albums except pulse are gone!!!

So wait...if iTunes crashes, your music gets deleted? Sounds like a major flaw in the pay-to-play system. Glad I haven't paid for any music except CDs yet.

jumpr: I've never had iTunes delete any music from my hard drive that I didn't tell it to delete.

To the original poster:
If you paid for it through the store, you can call up apple, explain what happened and they'll let you redownload everything.

If you didn't pay throught store, and the files got deleted there must have been somthing other than iTunes involved here.

Check in the My Documents -> My Music folder and see if there's an iTunes folder in there..they might have been moved, although I wouldn't see why.
