Yep, it's too much at $40 most everywhere. Every once in a while one shows up on fleabay for $25 or so.
it is a proprietary adapter you need too, so not much chance for cheaper price.

Doesn't 10.1 use a different GAPPs than 10.2? You might have to re-flash the 10.1version??
Yeah chromecast is so sweet. Dont pay that for the cable
Pinball Arcade is not working with a Nook HD on 10.1.3RC
Pinball Arcade is not working with a Nook HD on 10.1.3RC
10.1.3RC is now working well for me with everything I have, but I don't have pinball arcade (too bad they don't have the Adam's Family table!). But it shows the general problem - someone will say version X.X works great for them, and then you try it and have problems.
As soon as they fix everything, there will be a be new better (and buggier) versions of the OS, and I'll probably end up installing them and wasting hours of time getting the Nook working properly...
.
Works fine on stock ROM, I've tried a bunch of tables and no issues at all. I've seen other games that don't work on CM 10.x (Bard's Tale frex) so it's not for me.
The stock ROM with an alternate launcher and root/sideload mods works pretty well for me for everything I can throw at it.
It's all in the thread, no need to repeat.
I can't believe yours shipped already. You're so lucky. I've been checking my inbox since I read your post but nothing yet...
Honestly this is my first tech purchase in quite awhile that I'm kind of excited about. I hope it gets to me quick once it ships.
still shows processing for mine
I paid on 9/7, shipping info sent 9/10, actually picked up on 9/12, expected del 9/18.
They all sold fast, and its a charity, so I may cut them some slack, but I was expecting priority mail not ground shipping, or 5 days before it was shipped.
'Ebay' is not the deal.
Well, I broke down and bought one. Should be fun to hack. How big of a MicroSD can you put in these things? Will it take 64GB?
ehhhhh....
theoretically it supports exfat 64gb cards.
Last time I used one...it functionally was FAT32. File transfers would crap out around the 4gb mark.
