Noobtastic profile - locked out

I changed the email of my account because I did not want people to email me. It wouldn't let me update my profile without changing the password (or so I thought), so I changed that in addition to my email and it supposed sent a new password to the email I posted.

The email I posted was just muffin@email.com, an email that I just made up.

Now I can't login because I think it sent a new password which I'm supposed to verify, and god this is confusing.

I read the sticky, so now I'm concerned nothing is going to happen...but I thought I might as well try.

I've been with the username for a long time (registered in 2005) and it would be heart breaking to leave it. 🙁

I'm on my knees admins.


edit: I put this in my sig. I'll remove it once I get the final word, good or bad.

Next time you just want to stop people from emailng you, just turn your email visibility off in your personal options in profile.

I think you get the weekly award for doing the most dumb things at one time. 😀

Hopefully someone with the ability to fix this will come along - sometime.

You can PM Anandtech Moderator with all the particulars. Maybe that will get it taken care of sooner. I don't know.

Uh yeah.

I don't know if anandtech hates me or I'm doing something wrong (probably latter), but I'm not able to login on my account!
