Noobish question

Is there any reason to not buy the Samsung m.2 850 Evo 512 over the 2.5 inch Evo 512?

Going into an Asus VIII Gene Z170 mobo if that matters. I only see a price difference of 20ish. Figured I'd go for the swanky m.2 version and save on cable clutter since i cant find any real difference other than price between the two.
