ok here's the thing I've been itching to buy myself a laptop, it would be used for the basic stuff (ie: surfing, email, music, etc..) but I would also like to do some light to moderate gaming. My max price is 1700 maybe 1800, for the past week i've been looking at 11 different one's but I have no clue what is good or not, here are the 11
acer travelmate 8104awmli
hp pavillion zv6000 and the dv4000
compaq presario v4000t and the v2000z
toshiba satellite m45-s269 and the a105-s361
msi 1036 the 1029 and 1032
dell 6000

Can you guys please help

Thanks

What games do you play specificly sorry for the spelling. As they will really tell what you need. BF2 would be one that will kill a poorly chose lappy.

Are you planning to join a domain with this laptop if not then there is no real need for XP Pro. Second i would suggest that you get the 3yr or if the offer it 4yr warranty not just 1yr. Also what is the price on that system? As i looked i tryed to keep it under ur 1800 but couldn't do it. on dells site.
