Hi, just wondering if anyone can help me configure my mobo as i can not get the AMD Athlon 64 3400+ processor to run at the correct speed all it says when i go onto system info general tab is 803mhz, however it does recognise the cpu.
Specs :
GA K8NS Pro
64 bit 3400+
1 Gb corsair pc3200 ddr

not sure about the bios settings any and all help welcome thanks in advance!!!!!

Have you checked the mobo manual - properly?

Have you noticed where all the jumpers are, and where all the headers are?
Does the inside of your case look familiar?

The reason I ask, is that if it doesn't, then do some more reading up, and gaze at the open case until you are confident poking around.

Anyways,
Try going into BIOS and upping the FSB.
Look in the BIOS for something that could be related, BUT don't do anything drastic. you could stop the system from booting altogether, or blow something up.
Check system temps. If they are very low, and you don't have excess cooling, it could be cos the voltage may need to be upped. DONT do this yet. wait for someone who knows your mobo.
Also, post your question on the motherboard forum

i am not a complete noob i have built systems b4 however this boards configurations are all on the bios and i am not 100% sure of the settings this is why i would like someone with the same board preferably to help me??!!!

the cmos is where the settings are saved,
the bios is where the rom is stored.

all in all, depending on what you are doing, they could be considered the same, or not!!!!!
