noob DSL question - inline filter at each phone

I've always had cable but I moved in with friends who already had DSL. The problem is when the home phone rings, the internet is interrupted, and I get kicked from games 🙁 . If I unplug all two phones and call the house, I'm not kicked. So what do I need? A filter between each phone? Can someone point me to an exact place to order the right thing? There seem to be a lot of different filters. Some for modems, some for phones etc. Thanks!

Individual set filters will work if you do not have too many of them. In your case it sounds like
you need two or three at most. Usually your dsl provider will give them to you at No Cost.
A better way, but is harder to install as you must run a cable to the DSL Modem / Router is to
use a Whole House DSL Filter / Splitter which installs at the point where the telco line comes
in to the home. You will get better dsl service that way and there is no chance that someone
will inadvertanly remove a set filter.
