Non-union employer shot

Talk about union thuggery. Destroying phone equipment wasn't enough, now they're going after the small business owners who aren't union.

With around 25 employees, John King owns one of the largest non-union electrical contracting businesses in the Toledo, Ohio area. As a non-union contractor, his business happens to be doing well at a time when unions in the construction industry are suffering. This, it seems, has made the usual animosity unions have for him even greater, making him a prime target of union thugs. So much so, that one of them tried to kill him last week at his home.

And from the article, they know it was a union guy how? Proof not found.

Could have easily shot himself in the arm and wrote it on his own truck.

There COULD be a story here, but also there might not be. If indeed it was a union employee or union organizer that did this, that's bad!

I agree, if it was someone from a union he's giving them a bad representation.

Or that's what they wanted people to beleive. If I wanted people to beleive it was union related, that's what I would've done. Could've easily been a disgruntled ex-employee.

Wow. So he shot himself in the arm just for a false flag operation when he's had numerous problems and encounters with unions before?

Wow. Talk about a leap.

Please quote me where I said the guy did it to himself. I merely said union "thug" proof not found. Could be the case, but without proof, there's just speculation.

What if the perp had painted "Honkey" on the truck?

Quick! Divert and make it a race issue!

Dude has had numerous run ins and threats from unions because he's a non-union shop and is doing quite well (because he's able to do the job for less than union contractors). It smells like a duck, walks like one and talks like one - it's a duck (union ruffing/intimidating).

Not until DNA testing is it a duck though!

Maybe one of his employees wanted the union in, facts are, you don't know.

While such things do happen...and have happened many times over the years, so far, it's just speculation as to whether this was actually done by a union member/representative.

It's easy to blame the unions though, rather than wait for actual proof...especially when you already hate unions.

I'm not saying it WASN'T union thuggery, as it DOES happen from time to time, I'm just saying that at this time, there's no proof that it was.

If it posts like shit, smells like shit, and walks like shit, it's yet another inane, can't wait to post hate filled tripe, spidey thread.

The article says his business has been doing well since the Great Recession,by looking at his BBB rating, you can tell his company has doubled in size just recently.
The attacks from the union thugs look like a incident in the 70's, when his company was picketed for scabbing at a plant on strike.
And the more recent attacks from some union folk offering his employees a chance at joining the union.
Can you anymore about these union thug attacks?

If anyone had a beef with him and sought to hurt or kill him, it does not take anyone very clever to scrawl word Scab on his truck, causing the cops to chase a red herring, rather than the real perps.

Nor does that always work, remember Susan Smith, who parked on a boat ramp while her kids were in the car. And then exited the car and let gravity take the car and kids.

She blamed a black man and came up with a cover story to the cops that did not add up, and now Sue is in jail where she belongs.

So like many others, I will reserve judgment. But in America's long history, there has been more union busting violence done by capitalists than union violence to capitalists.
