Nominees must be recognizable (i.e. somewhat mainstream) and can include either individuals or groups.

My vote goes to Slipknot; I honestly have no idea how people listen to this group- their "singer" simply talks sh!t into the mic and their musical style, though original, is absurdly so to the point where it is difficult to even discern a melody in most of their songs.
 
All screamo bands and generic almost-screamo emo bands (wait, is screamo emo superfluous?).
 
Off the top of my head, The Doors or Nickelback. Though, there are so many awful bands out there, it may be hard to decide which one is the worst.
 
Why are people nominating the Doors? Admittedly I have never really gotten into their music, but aren't they considered among the greats?

The same reason that people can claim to love Bowie but hate the Beatles.
 
I once heard gina gershon's band; it was definitely worthy of the nomination.

Il Divo might be my top nomination though.
