Hi all,

I am trying to finish this classic game. I am at the Alpine Intrique 4 section where you have to jump your snowmobile over a gap and I can't seem to do it. I always crash down and die. Does the snowmobile respond to the 'jump' command. I have the always run function on. I think I gather enough speed but can't make it over.

Any help or tricks would be appreciated.

It's been a really long time since I played NOLF. The jump is vague in my memory . . . I think there is another way (I know I got off the snowmobile earlier than the walkthrough suggested and finished satisfactorily anyway).

BTW, do a net "search" for 'NOLF Walkthrough' - there are several - if you are really stuck.
 
The only way to get across the chasm is to use the snowmobile. No, it doesn't reposnd to the jump command but at the narrowest point you can get across provided your speed is fast enough.

You might like to hop off the snowmoblie first and scout around on foot to see where the narrowest gap is - IIRC it's on the right side of the chasm.

The stupid reason I could not jump this initially was that I was in the wrong part of the gap.

DOH...............
