1. Let's say you mistyped a digit on a phone number and just want to add or delete it, it's an absolute nightmare with WP you will either select the entire number or take the cursor to the beginning or end of the phone number, neither the iphone or the latest version of android have this problem.

By default, it selects the entire word or goes to the beginning or end of the word. If you want to select in the middle somewhere, press and hold for a second to get the cursor and place it where you want. From my past experience with the iPhone, it usually took 3 or 4 taps to get the cursor where you wanted it anyway, so it's really no faster or slower.

2. Want to quickly connect to Wifi or 3G for data access? you will need an app which creates a shortcut to the settings connections page on your homescreen, you then have to go in to the setting and slide the connection to on. On my friend's Android you have a toggle switch on the homescreen to switch off or switch on the connection and that saves you so many steps.

I never take anybody seriously when they choose something like this to rag on a mobile OS. There were many other "big" issues but you chose to complain about having to press one extra time to do something on the phone?

Secondly while the wireless charging is a cool feature I don't think it was a good choice putting it in the phone. It added significant thickness and weight to the phone (185g phone is alot). IMO it would of been better to remove this feature that not many people are going to use and have a lighter, slimmer, cheaper phone.

Wireless charging isn't the reason it's heavy or thick. Look at the Verizon HTC 8X. That's a very thin phone that is very light weight. I think some of the weight of the Lumia is also what gives it a lot of durability - an incredibly overbuilt metal frame.

That metal frame allows for this nice DIY magnetized QI charger.

Though I would be a bit worried that it would affect the OIS system it uses after long periods of time on the magnets.
