I'm really hoping the 20MP sensor is an evolution of the 41MP with larger megapixels over the same sensor area. That way the system can do more processing and more images hopefully even when taking burst shots.
Interestingly, the image signal processor in the Lumia 1020 cannot handle 41 MP. It's spec'd up to 20-21 MP. For this reason, Nokia had to totally rewrite the drivers to use the camera sensor, and this is also likely the reason that the shot-to-shot performance on the 1020 is slooooowwww. IOW, IMO the implementation on the 1020 is very inelegant.

If the 1520 uses the same CPU/ISP, then going to a 20 MP sensor makes a HUGE amount of sense. Potentially, it could be way, way faster than the Lumia 1020. However, we don't know what the sensor size will be for the 1520.
