The picture is definitely more stable. The colors are debatable.

Is that going to be the final size of the Lumia? That thing looks like a monster next to the iPhone!

I played it a couple times, it was an overcast day, but i found several instances where the colors popped a bit more on the Lumia.

well it does have a half inch larger screen too in all fairness. But yes, even for a 4.5" display, it's on the larger side of things.

Thats OK, but the camera by itself is not enough to make me pick a new phone on a new platform. In fact the only time I care about camera quality is if all other things are equal. Since WP8 isnt the same as iOS, I think we need other comparisons. Like the other WP8 devices still coming out.

Yea, just seems like the Lumia has higher saturation.

Nice test. Clearly the Lumina wins by a fair margin. The image stabilization on the Nokia is clearly superior, and then sharpness and colors of the Nokia looked nicer too. Possibly oversaturated, but I'm no expert and I just know what looks better to me and I prefer the Nokia.

I wish they'd do more like this with other phones - usually you just get a couple of still shots in isolation and a video and it makes it hard to really compare. I know that I tend to use my phone as a camera and video camera pretty often and the camera/video quality is pretty important to me.

If you're going to compare similar looks or features with other WP8 phones, I don't think this is going to be a contest on who has the better quality or superior features. You'll decide if the combination that comes with the Lumia 920 has enough pros to sway you in Nokia's direction.

They added the S3 and one X to the competition this morning. The results are even more stunning the 920 is miles ahead of the S3 and in another universe compared the one X.

Map is better on Nokia ;)

Again, I think people are gonna decide on the platform first and then pick a specific device. Having said that, I would not be surprised if navigation is a major feature people look for and perhaps even swap over to WP8 for it.
The Pureview is just a bonus.

I would be very surprised if someone dumped the IPhone for its map issues. I have never heard anyone talking about maps before Apple switched over, and it feels like the internets grabbed on it to find something wrong with the IPhone to complain about. While I’m definitely not saying you’re wrong, I just haven’t seen it in my circles.

I have to say that the more I read about WP8 and the 920, the more I'm tempted to sell my Gnex and get one, assuming that it comes out on Verizon. The 920 sure seems to have become quite the media darling on tech sites :)
