Although it's avail in red color only, but it's a hot deal. The price is $99.99. First take $20 off using the floating coupon, well, a leather case is a good add-on. Then there is another $50 MIR. Just order one.
Of course, don't forget going through ebates.com and my cc company gives me another %5 off.
Btw, getting the digital advantage $29.99 plan for 250 min plus 500 min off-peak time. Total is 750 min.

Wolverine88 or snut, could either one of you e-mail (nafter@ptd.net) or ICQ (20936699) me that $20 coupon code. I have the $10 off $75+ but the #20 coupon would be much better. Thanks!

Actually you cannot just buy other color faces for this one, only the 8290 has the switchable faceplate feature.

MrBakaSan (or anyone who knows):

How does it work exactly if I buy a phone through buy.com? If I were to get AT&T wireless service, would my phone arrive from buy.com with my account already set up and a phone number already given to me?

I'm asking because I currently have an AT&T Wireless account, without a contract, and I'd like to keep the phone number on it...at the very least though, I'd like to have the phone be located in a different area code (which a make most of my calls from and to) than the one I'm in...would any of this be possible if I ordered the phone from buy.com?

Thanks!

i just got one, it comes activated with a new phone #..you can request a diff area code if its close to your billing address but if not you are out of luck...no chance of keeping old phone #

with deals changing so rapidly these days, its almost impossible to keep cell phone/pager ##s without paying much more..new offers are always better...

if you want someone to have "permanent" contact with you, give them your home phone or hotmail email address (who knows , hotmail may be gone in the near futuure but its been around awhile)

Bump up for the free shipping...

...Shipping on the phone is still $5.95 ('cause buy.com doesn't ship it, I guess), but anything you put in your cart to get your order over $100.00 will still be shipped free!

You can switch the faceplates on the 8260 just like the 6160, with a small Torx screwdriver. It's not as easy as the 5160-type click on faceplates, but it's do-able.

Well.... a few questions..

First I don't see a leather case for this phone....

Second... does this phone come with ANY accessories..??? Like a charger, battery, handsfree, etc.??

Anyone order this phone from Buy.com that can tell us what it came with?

Thanks!
:)

Also having trouble using the coupon code(s).... asking for sixteen digit blah blah blah..?

Cybordolphin,

There is a leather case, but you need to get it fromm AT&T b&m stores it costs approximately $25.00. It has the belt hook like the 51-6100 series do.

Hey o.k one question is that how does buy.com choose who carries your phone service? Because the way I look at it is that if you live in an area code where they don't offer this phone (even though if i got to local retail stores they sell them but for like $300) for a cheap price and then still be able to change the number. Like say they used suncom and then they send the phone to you but its got that area code number (if you live in a small city this is) anyone know if you can just go up to the servicer (suncom here) and just see if you can get your phone number changed?

What happens if you buy this phone without activating it? I wanna change my service from my 8860 to this phone because it's got the cool email features. I can only receive, not send. :(

I was actually told that the 8260 ONLY works with the AT&T service!?

What other phones are good out there?? I am thinking of going with VERIZON. I am looking for a GREAT phone that can be used with THAT service.

Thanks for all the other input above. If I choose to go with AT&T... It'll come in handy!
