Noisy computer after RAM upgrade

Hello!
Yesterday I open my old computer and I add it 512 MB of RAM. After that I turn on computer and there was success that I have 1 GB of RAM now. But some time after that one of fans in computer started turning so loud. I went checked the internet if someone there already have this problem and I found that is possible that RAM upgrade reset BIOS, but that wasn't right in my case. I already found that the problem will gone if I only remove this stick of RAM and then will be good. I done this too, but no success.

Configuration of old computer:
Intel Celeron 2.4 GHz
GIGABYTE 8GEM667
512MB of RAM (before upgrade)
Radeon X700 SE
600W PSU (which I changed few days ago)

A RAM upgrade shouldn't have anything to do with the noise level. But if it's an old computer, it is quite possible that the act of opening up the case and moving stuff around has shaken loose some dust, etc. I would suggest opening it back up, taking it outside, and blow the case with compressed air to make sure everything is clean. Then carefully reassemble, making sure all the panels are fitted together snugly (case vibration from loose panels can often make a sound similar to bad fan), and see if there is any improvement. If not, then you might have to start replacing the fans that you suspect are making the noise.

gsaldivar has it right. A RAM upgrade alone shouldn't affect the fans or noise level. But you may have bumped something, moved dust around, or just changed how the bearings of the fan were sitting, moving the case around and opening it up.

Cleaning the dust out is a good idea, but you may have to just replace the fan, especially if this is an older machine. Fans do fail and wear out eventually.
