Noise while scrolling windows

When I scroll up and down (mainly in IE) i get a sort of clicking noise. It's not from the system speaker, because I disconnected that and I still get the noise. It's not from the speakers because I disconnected them and I still get the noise. What I JUST realized is that there is a speaker built into the mobo for system beeps. It must be coming from there. I researched this problem and it seems to be caused by video card EMI with other components (usually soundcards). I moved my cards around with no luck (actually caused network conflict). I only noticed the noise after upgrading to a 5900U. If the stupid noise is coming from the mobo, what the hell can I do?
 
I have seen the same problem on two occasions with my machines, I discovered by accident that both came after upgrading the vid cards. I then upgraded the power supplies and the problems went away forever. So in short, you may be stretching the power supply too thin...

Really? I just bought mine. 🙁 Thermaltake 420W, 3HD, 1DVDRW, 1 case fan, 5900U, sound card, wireless card, floppy drive, 2100+. Stretching it?
 
I have heard of this problem it is actually comming from the video card I know people have had this problem on Anandtech I know they found a way to fix it but I don't remember what it was though. Post in the Video forum I am pretty sure someone in there will know.

Basically turn off smooth scrolling and it will go away or atleast it did for these people
 
But I think it occured during a few other things as well. As if during high motion actions it was caused... I like smooth scrolling, but I think I adjusted to not having it already (5 minutes).

Dumb nvidia. Time to upgrade to next gen. 😛
 
It happened to me and I found that it's a lot less noticable on my system if I turn the volume control in windows way up (about 80%) and control the volume using the physical volume controller for my speakers.
 
When I do that I get distortion from my sound card. Everything sounds like crap. On another note, I get the noise while scrolling through regedit. How annoying.
