noise of 1900x = 1800x?

i am down for the new 1900 ati series but i am worried about the noise level. it seems like the same heatsink as the 1800 which was pretty darn loud compared to the 7800 series.

thoughts?

it cant be as bad as the fan of 7800 GTX -512 and it looks like G71 will have same fan.
So it is up to you unless you want an 7800GTX or GT.

You should be confused- the GTX 512 is probably the quietest high end card out now.

And you were correct. HardOCP did a decibel test against X1800XT, 7800GTX & 7800GTX512. The GTX512 was as quiet at full load than the X1800XT was at idle.

It should be quiet and cool. It has an enourmous bleeping heatsink.

yeah not sure where that guy got it from. a 80mm fan should be MUCH quiter than any 60 or 70mm one... Esspecilly as it is so much lower RPM and even at the same dB rating smaller fans still make a more annoying noise.

great! good to hear. if the 1900x can beat (or run comparable to) the gtx512 while being quiet than it is my next card =)
