What's the dba output of the stock cooler that comes with the C2D 8400?
Is the fan variable speed?
Not really planning on overclocking (much)
Is it easy install, or does everyone recommend the bolt-on kit?

Prefer not to have to buy another cooler, but will if it's kinda noisy.

The stock coolers are generally pretty quiet. It's a push-pin mount, so just requires a bit of force (not too much), and is PWM controlled.
