Noctua NH-U12P SE2 Opinons?

Been considering this heatsink/fan combo and reading some reviews. This revision comes with 2 fans.

My question is, anybody see a noticeable difference between running 1 and 2 fans?

Judging from the review on Testfreaks.com, there doesn't seem to be much difference.

Just wrapping up my testing and the Noctua NH-U12P is included. There was roughly a gain of 2C with Push/Pull versus a single fan in Push. Mind you, I was running these coolers at a rather high OC (one of my mistakes for this round-up), results will vary.

The fans are nice and quiet though.

Hmm so to clarify, the CPU temperature increased by 2C with the push/pull configuration?

decreased, yeah "gain" may not have been the best term to use. 🙂

To make 2 fans work for you, you need run the downstream fan faster than the upstream fan. Otherwise, the downstream fan will just idle, contributing nothing.

You mean the pull must be faster than the push?
