Noctua NF-A15 Fan on Fractal R5 Case?

I'm thinking of using a Noctua NF-A15 PWM fan as the rear exhaust fan in a Fractal R5 case. Is anyone doing so? Any problems with fit or interference with anything else?

No clue on whether it would fit right or not myself, but use a couple Noctua fans for rear exhaust myself.

If it mounts right I doubt would interfere with anything much.

Yeah, you can usually modify things a bit here and there 🙂

As you can see there's several cm of additional vertical space in the mounting position. The point is to allow the user to customize the exact position of the rear fan, but at the same time this extra space means that a 150 mm x 140 mm fan will fit easily

Since the R5 panel is designed to fit both 140 and 120mm fans, I don't think you will have any issues. The NF-A15 is designed to fit into 120mm fan holes, and, as lehtv said, the R5 will have enough room around the fan.

The NF-A15 PWM complies with Noctua’s AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) standard. It provides superior performance with the 120mm mounting holes (105mm spacing) which has been enlarged to 150mm width.

That's what I was anticipating. I was just hoping that someone had gone before me and done it.

I have used NF-A15s in my R5 case, both in the rear and side without much issue. The one issue that did pop up is that if you install it the wrong way, the extra length on the one side interferes (pushes right up against it so it doesn't move) with the locking mechanism on the right side panel.
