Nobody is liable.....and we normal people are f*cked again

so the u.s. was lied to again by so many, about the speed at which we need to get this bailout $$ into the market. it was stupidly rushed/passed by lawmakers and not economists and we are still fucked, just as predicted by the economists.

so, when the fuck will the american people hold those that did this accountable? never, that is the sad truth of it all. we all just got fucked again and nobody is liable. do we as a county like being lied to?

i feel so bad for those that have given blood and life for this country only to be fucked by the government in this way.

"...and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth" yeah, right. poor lincoln 🙁

I would LOVE to have a government who was actually for the people and not just out for themselves. Don't think it's ever going to happen.

Of course mismanagement never occurred. Just ask the CEO's with golden parachutes if you do not believe me. I would throw myself a $440,000 party if given a chance.

Then claim I am heart distressed because it was not my fault.

Oh grow up. Every time you don't like something you complain about being lied to. Grow up and take it like an adult. Did you protest against it? Did you call your representative? No? Then STFU!

Strike a nerve?

He has every "right" to complain (maybe not on this forum but every right in life nonetheless) and you have NO RIGHT to silence him on it. You don't have a clue what he did or didn't do so your complaining about his complaining makes you just as bad or worse than him.

We were all taken for a loop by the government again, whether you like to hear it or not.

If I could get what the AIG (and others) execs received from the bailout, I would give a shit if I had my job or not.

I asked my boss if I would have been fired if there had been no bail out. He said "no, of course not, that's utter nonsense."

If you'll recall, "economists" did say we had to rush it and pass it immediately.

Economists don't really know what the fuck they're talking about either. Might as well flip a coin.

Haven't gotten my invitation yet!

Ask again if you would have been laid off in Q4 if the credit markets froze.

yes, did call them, not that that really matter to them. and for the record, the only debt i carry is my condo, which is well within my mean, no cc debt, no car debt, no debt except the condo and i live in an area where it is still worth about 3x what i owe. i live well below my means and always have. i guess i could say i am not part of the problem.

i am not saying that the u.s. people didn't create this by wanting more than their means allowed, i agree w/ that, what i am talking about is how rushed the bailout was made to seem. it appears it could have waited a bit and had some revisions to really make a difference.

there were quite a few that said it wouldn't matter and it was a waste of $$$ too, like you say, flip a coin.

It's a systemic cause. If you listen to those who counsel to reduce the concentratin of power and wealth, then politicians who represent the public are more viable.

I can, but I can also predict his response. The boss would say you're a fool.

Yes, every single job in the US would have been lost if the pork filled bullshit bailout didn't happen. Sure thing, lol.

Just as he has every right to complain, I have every right to respond. His rant comes more from ignorance than anything else.

That is the ultimate gist of it. This economy is in dire fvcking straits and those at the top who helped create it have plenty of money made during it, so we'll pay the costs.
How exactly are we fucked?
Market now down the largest annual drop since 1937. That's one way. We're approaching depression type drops in the market, credit is locking up, pessimism is rife and the fact somebody can come in here and dismiss it because we still have jobs is myopic in the extreme. We have jobs now, today. Next month? Who knows.
Ask again if you would have been laid off in Q4 if the credit markets froze.
Uh, they are pretty damn cold right now. And getting colder.
