Hmmmmm - the demo looks just stunning IMO, but the physics engine really sucks. This is a big disappointment to me, since I thought they really nailed it on NFSU.

Graphics look great on the PC (as expected), but I find controls a bit loose (more so than the PS2 version I've been playing). Pretty playable on bro's P3-733 Radeon AIW rig, but pathetic on my 1Ghz Voodoo5 rig and P3-866mhz Mobile and Geforce2Go 32mb ddr.

I care about the new NFS! I didn't like the idea of an all-Porche NFS, so I skipped Porche Unleashed, can't wait to get my hands on Hot Pursuit 2! Thanks for the link.

P.S. It would be nice if the Hot Pursuit 2 included the new Enzo Ferrari.

Well, you don't have a fully DX8 compatible card in your 1ghz setup man. What did you expect?

You are missing out on a real treat with NFSU. That game looks gorgeous, has a wide variety of fun gameplay modes, and has the best arcade-driving physics engine I have ever played.

I look at it, and almost wonder if I'm not playing NFS4. Console ports done poorly are just that, poor games. This isn't the worst port I've seen(that title belongs to Batman: Vengance), but it's rather obvious graphics wise that it came straight from a PS2/Gamecube. Other than that though, it's the sequal to NFS3 I always wanted.

What about it in particular gives you this feeling? To me it shows its family lineage in that it resembles all of its predecessors (I have loved the series and bought all the games back to NFS2 (I had some SERIOUS fun with the Glide-accelerated version!), and I do not see any obvious console artifacts. OTOH, I have not owned a console since my NES, so I may not be the best judge.
