Damnit. You guys are making me feel kind of guilty. I was sure someone would post this so I didn't post until I was almost done downloading. I still only got about 60KB/s out of Utah though.

I wish I could help you all out but I only get 10MB of webspace and 128kbps upstream on my account. :(

Just go get it at fileshack. Got it at 432k after a half hour wait.

Damn, its a fun game. Feels like youre playing one of those worlds scariest police chase videos.

Ok, maybe using Picture It! and MS Paint isn't the best way to post screenshots (they are a little fuzzy and a little dark), but you beggars can't be choosers, right? ;)

At any rate, here are some pics with the Ferrari.By the way, my detail settings were maxed at 1280x960x32, w/Quincunx AA and aniostropic filtering enabled.

Hmmmmm - the demo looks just stunning IMO, but the physics engine really sucks. This is a big disappointment to me, since I thought they really nailed it on NFS:pU.

Graphics look great on the PC (as expected), but I find controls a bit loose (more so than the PS2 version I've been playing). Pretty playable on bro's P3-733 Radeon AIW rig, but pathetic on my 1Ghz Voodoo5 rig and P3-866mhz Mobile and Geforce2Go 32mb ddr.

I care about the new NFS! I didn't like the idea of an all-Porche NFS, so I skipped Porche Unleashed, can't wait to get my hands on Hot Pursuit 2! Thanks for the link.

P.S. It would be nice if the Hot Pursuit 2 included the new Enzo Ferrari.

Well, you don't have a fully DX8 compatible card in your 1ghz setup man. What did you expect?

And yes, it makes THAT much of a difference.

You are missing out on a real treat with NFS:pU. That game looks gorgeous, has a wide variety of fun gameplay modes, and has the best arcade-driving physics engine I have ever played.

Yeah, I knew it would run like crap on the PC, that's why instead of putting money down on a new videocard, went out and bought a PS2 instead. Glad I did.

It's still slow as anything. I'm currently getting 21 KB/sec off the Indiana server. Howerver, I'm sure it'll be available on Kazaa by morning. ;)

got it, but it locked my system up 3 times (but it looks nice) maybe there'll be a patch when the retail is released?

I look at it, and almost wonder if I'm not playing NFS4. Console ports done poorly are just that, poor games. This isn't the worst port I've seen(that title belongs to Batman: Vengance), but it's rather obvious graphics wise that it came straight from a PS2/Gamecube. Other than that though, it's the sequal to NFS3 I always wanted.:p

What about it in particular gives you this feeling? To me it shows its family lineage in that it resembles all of its predecessors (I have loved the series and bought all the games back to NFS2 (I had some SERIOUS fun with the Glide-accelerated version!), and I do not see any obvious console artifacts. OTOH, I have not owned a console since my NES, so I may not be the best judge.
