If you carefully look at the picture, you could see a couple of guys really close to the UFO (unidentified frozen object) and if I trust my old eyes... yeah... got it !
It's Dan Brown, Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard and Tom Hanks, of course.

Well, There's another big one wearing a cap who is grinning and holding a weird sign with some GWB initials on it...

also they said if it is real it is bigger than titanic. whoa....also why no teams go there and dig???

It would have to be, no?

No. God told Noah exactly how large to make it and it was much smaller than the Titanic, if I recall. The exact specifications are in Genesis.

Along with many other image manipulation functions ... I also used the pseudo-color function trying to determine if I could detect anything under the ice and snow," Franz said.

The face of the anomaly measured 1,015 feet (309 meters) across, Franz said. "I also found the shape of the anomaly appears to fit on a circle. I am not sure what this means, if anything, but I find it curious."

taht's what the article said.

no it wasnt bigger than the titanic or a modern aircraft carrier.

Genesis 6:15 in the Bible tells us the Ark's dimensions were at least 135 meters long (300 cubits), 22.5 meters wide (50 cubits), and 13.5 meters high (30 cubits). That's 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high! It could have been larger because several larger-sized cubits were used. But the 45-centimeter (18-inch) cubit is long enough to show the enormous size of the Ark.

(A cubit was the length of a man's arm from fingertips to elbow.)

The article explains that the size was 6:1 length to width (this was quoted out of Genesis).

Just wait 50 more years and, thanks to Earth Global Warming, everything should be clearer without all that crappy ice.

I saw on TV several years ago this program about searching for noah's ark where they focused on 3 or 4 strange ships found high up in mountains, although this one was not mentioned. It was a very interesting program. Does anybody else have any idea what i'm talking about? I'd lik to watch it again.

interesting. if this is truly a wooden ship on top of a 15K foot mountain and carbon dating puts the wood back to Noa's time, i will definatly be rethinking my religious views.

I wouldn't. Even if the thing turns out to be a boat (unlikely), it doesn't prove that the story as told in the Bible is true.

8:4 And in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, the ark rested upon the foothills of Ararat.

i will because its pretty damn hard to explain how a a 450 foot wooden ship is perched on a 15K mountain.

I won't. Even if it turns out to be a ship, it just proves that somebody survived a giant flood. Doesn't mean it was Noah, doesn't mean any god made him build it, just adds a little strength to the bible being a loose historical record.

A little high for "foothills," wouldn't you say?

I believe it was supposed to be 300 cubits or 450 feet long.

With the "Great Flood", you have to wonder how high waters rose considering it supposedly rained for "40 days and 40 nights". If it was a steady downpour for that long, why couldn't a boat have ended up where it might be? Who knows...it's an interesting mystery though.

Interestingly enough there are many religions that talk of an ancient flood. Could have been something like the Tsunami that wiped out most of SE Asia this year.
