I haven't ordered anything from them in a long time but from my previous experiences, they're excellent. I remember always getting free shipping and it arrived quickly (Although not as fast as Newegg when I first started ordering from them).

Wednesday: nope
Thursday: Closed
Friday: ???

When they say 5-7 days they really mean 7-10 days I guess.

Thanks for the updates. Bummer that the delivery is taking so long. :disgust:

I placed an order with zipzoomfly on Sunday night and it went out Monday afternoon, and should be here on Wednesday.

ZZF rocks! Best place to order oem hard drives. They get placed in a plastic bubble shell and then placed in a thick foam sleeve.

How does Newegg do theirs?

Usually, plastic shell or bubble wrap then in a box with peanuts. But I've heard stories of just bare drives in a box of peanuts or in the plastic shell/bubble wrap in an empty box with no peanuts.

My last 4 HDs were shipped like this:

ESD bag with HD inside (sealed). Wrapped in bubble wrap. Thrown in box of peanuts.

This applied for: 2x 7200.10 (Oct 06), WD 640gb (Mar 08), WD 1TB Black (Dec 08).

Day 19 and package has been freed. Jack Bauer was involved, several Fedex workers were killed in the mayhem.

PS: The packaging from them is as bad as anywhere else. Put some popcorn underneath please!!!

Thanks for the update on the successful conclusion of what I am sure was a truly harrowing experience. 😉
