I just had my computer(specs in sig) shipped out to me and when i went to hook it up on my HP w2338H monitor i don't get any video. I have never used this monitor with this computer before and the monitor works fine. could it be the video card?

You'll have to give more details here... do you hear the fans spin up? Do you hear the Beep? Does it sound as if the CPU is working to start the OS?

yeah everything starts up and the fans spin like everything is going fine but its just not displaying anything at all, the monitor doesnt detect any input.

Does the video card have the aux power cable connected to it? Sometimes things get loose or fall off in shipment.

If possible - borrow another video card - doesn't have to be fancy. Just to confirm where the problem is. If it does not light up, then your problem is in the computer. Reseat all the memory SIMMs, and check the CPU seating as well. I find it never great to ship a built computer all assembled. Too many things can work loose. You do all that and still nada, getto work on an RMA. Does the OEM have a local repair option?
