No video output on Apple 23" monitor

I just built a new system with:Intel E6400, Asus P5W DH Deluxe, and a EVGA 8800GTS. When I hook it up to my 23" Apple LCD I get no image in the posting process. The monitor was working before and if I hook it up to another computer it posts just fine and boots into windows. EVGA tech thinks I may need a firmware update. Anyone else have this problem?

Does the computer work on another monitor or have you only tried the 23" on the new computer? When you say that you hooked it up to another computer, did you mean monitor instead of computer?
