No video, no post, no beeps

It booted up with video the first time I turned on the machine. It said something about the ram running in a certain mode, but I didn't have enough time to read it before it turned off. Now the thing just doesn't post. The fans spin, the hdd cilcks, I'm able to eject a dvd, but no video. I've tried removing the ram and booting without ram, and it doesn't give me error beeps. Tried each individual stick in each of the two slots. Still nothing. The only time I get any sort of life from the thing is when I remove the power from the video card. Then it gives me a prolonged beep.
Bad ram? Bad motherboard? Bad luck? All of the above?

Here's what running in the computer.

Hardware:

GIGABYTE GA-G31M-S2L LGA 775 Intel G31 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ - Retail

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor Model BX80557E6750

200gb ide hdd

DVD-R drive

430W PSU (brand name escapes me at the moment)

First thing to do would be to reseat all of your parts to make sure there is adequete contact being made, also make sure the 4 pin connector on the motherboard is plugged in. Thirdly, try booting without the optical and hard drives. Lastly, find the name brand of the psu, cheap brands are often the cause of system issues.

Thanks for the suggestions.

The brand of the CPU is NSpire. I went and bought some more ram to test it out and make sure that it wasn't the problem. Still not posting. Reseated everything and still nothing. Won't boot without the optical and hdd either. I'm assuming the motherboard is just dead....? I tested the PSU and with my older motherboard and it works fine. What confuses me is how it booted up fine one time and gave me that strange memory error. Maybe the ram slots fried? *sigh*

edit: I also forgot to mention I tried booting with the motherboard inside and outside the case. I think I've pretty much tried everything.

Tried it. Nothing 🙁

I don't have a VGA cable, so I can't test the onboard video at the moment. Perhaps the PCI-e x16 video slot is ruined? Time for the RMA process to begin...
