I've tried swapping out the PSU, the video card, and the ram. Still the same issues! It appears to power up just fine. Yet the monitor reports 'no signal' then goes to an amber light and shuts off. I pull this machine off my test bench and plug another machine into the monitor and it lights up fine.
I am trying (on the HP a430n) to use the add-on Radeon card that it came with but have also plugged the monitor into the VGA connector on the motherboard that was originally covered up. Still no video. No beep ..... no nada.
Other AGP cards give me the same. No beep or video ...
I have also pulled the battery on the board and tried clearing the CMOS to no avail. Didn't see a clear CMOS jumper on the motherboard, but I did pull the battery for 5 minutes.
Same zilch.
