This is prolly a software issue but I figured I'd post here cuz it seems to be limited to T-4xs b/c the T-30s and 20s seem to work fine. - what I'm wanting to do is play .mpeg on my laptop and have it display on a projector. I have tried multiple T-42s, multiple brand projectors (NEC and HP) and multiple apps to run the video (WMP, WinAmp and WinDVD) and always get the same result: I can see the video fine on my lappy but it doesn't display through the projector. The counter keeps clocking away while the .mpeg plays but nothing is displayed. The client I'd like to use is InterVideo WinDVD and I've installed DivX codec but am not having any luck. - it's gotta be something simple.. what am I missing?

I can confirm that this is a video setting. I remember one of my professor's trying to do this and IIRC it was in the video drivers. When I get on my laptop, I will find the setting for you.
edit: Did you try the presentation director?

Start -> Access IBM -> Presentation Director
It gives options for where to display the movie (projector or screen).

Well I've got Access IBM but don't have "presentation director". listed under Access IBM are: Battery MaxiMiser Wizard, IBM Active Protection System, ThinkPad Configuration and UltraNav Wizard. - there lots of display config adjustments in "ThinkPad Configuration" but nothing about projectors. Just has combinations of LCD, TV, CRT.. pretty much like the Function+F7 command. - I'll keep digging.. and thanks very much for the help.
