No video feed

Hey,
This is the third computer that this has happened to me. After some minor hardware shuffling and restarting I get no video feed to the monitor (a ViewSonic A90). Everything seems to be running; the hard drives are spinning up and I sounds like the OS is booting but the monitor doesn't receive a signal. I have an Athlon and a Celeron rigs with totally different hardware (mobo, memory, video card, psu, even power cable) and neither seems to send out a signal. I borrowed a lap top and plugged my monitor in and received a signal. So I don't think it's the monitor. The last time it happened I had just put in a new video card, installed the drivers, mashed the restart, and then go no video feed. The Celeron (a reserve/test rig) was working a couple months ago, but now won't. Am I just clumsy and shorting the boards out with static? Or something environmental? Has anyone else had a similar experience. I don't want to buy a new board and in 6 months have it up and die on me as well.

Thanks for any help/advise/reprimand

Hi Belisarius and welcome to the forum! If nothing else, this will serve to give you a bump. If I understand, you have two rigs with video problems. Iy may be helpful to the guru's here if you list the spec's for those two systems and describe in some detail what you mean by "minor hardware shuffling"

Good luck

make sure you have a good working ram or your ram is compatable with your mobo. some mobo required u to set jumpers if that mobo has 4 slot ( 2 slots for DDR and 2 Slots for non-DDR)
