no video after opening ati catalyst panel

Just an HP dv7 with radeon 5000 series. Updated driver and catalyst control panel and everything seemed fine. However, whenever i would open up the control center panel, all of my media players would stop working. Just audio, no video. I have tried bs player, vlc, divx and windows media.

Any suggestions or fixes?

Did you try rolling it back to the previous driver that worked and see if the problem disappears?

Check the video settings under CCC.
