No US Mail Delivery 3-Days in a Row

Because of New Years Day being on Mon and Tues being declared a national day of mourning to honor Pres Ford, there will be no mail delivery for 3 days in a row.

Has that ever happened before in the recent past? If so I can't remember it.

Most federal agencies are closed in honor of the president. This has occured for at least the last 3 late presidents. Them closing shop has no relationship to attending the memorial services. Suggesting so for the 100s of thousands of federal employess is silly. Calling a US president, "some guy" -sigh-

I ordered something from Buy.com yesterday, but it isn't as big an issue that I won't be getting it till after 1/2. I leave home for school on 1/2 and I had my package shipped to my school address.
