Anyone else not surprised that the interview is basically a big, fat nothingburger?

With the ongoing battle over the NDA, the potential for a newly negotiated NDA, and the money-making potential of this story, ai’d have been VERY surprised if she’d dropped any real bombshells.

IMO, the only real story here will be if the payoff money somehow came out of campaign funds...
So far nothing new.

They specifically hinted that recorded proof of the sex exists.

Based on what she said I doubt it. She hadn’t planned for it nor really even wanted it. I’d be surprised if suddenly she’s taping it secretly and I doubt Trump would let it happen openly.

If anything I’d bet emails or some other communications would be the most likely thing she’d have.

Sound recording or a trump saying something like the sex was good or something. Basically it seems like there was evidence she held onto which will be revealed at the right time.

Forest for the trees, forest for the trees....
Look... Just keep it simple.
Fact: We have a current president that was, that is currently married with a child from that current marriage, and we have this president in the company of / seeing / dating whores from the porn industry.
Do we "really" need more???
Had Obama ever even once been seen or photographed in the presences of a porn star, can you imagine?
CAN YOU IMAGINE????

Can you imagine what the right wing religious right would have said about Obama?
Can you imagine what politicians up and down the isle would have said?
This alone would have destroyed any presidential candidate. DESTROYED!!!
But.... what we have are the supposedly highest of highest moral authorities saying to the world and to their god that this doesn't matter. That for them, none of this even matters.
We have politicians, long serving politicians, that have long forged and paved our moral path as a nation.
And we have the religious leaders and moral spokesmen of society having told America that Gays are not worthy, that marriage is sacred and theirs alone to defined whom can and whom can not participate, and we have an electorate following in step.
But NOW???
They pull off a 180?
Our so called moral leaders telling America what Donald Trump does to his wife, to his children, to his marriage simply no longer matters?

If there is a god, that god is not a happy camper.
And if the whores, the gays, the rapist, the deplorable of society, as some label them, are destine for gods judgment of hell and hellfire, well then the deplorable's of society will be in good company.
The self proclaimed moral and religious, the self proclaimed moral leaders in our politics, and every mother and father that dare brush off the horrors of Donald Trump and dare to sit there in the churches Sunday after Sunday brazing their smug moral superiority on their faces will be right there side by side knee deep in hellfire with those very deplorable's that they so despise.
And dare they, those slugged faces sitting in the pulpits, dare they stand before their god wearing the cloak of worthiness.

We live in a truly F##k-ed up America, people.
Its a wonder if there is a god that the ground below us does not open up and swallow us all.
And if America keeps electing the likes of Donald Trump, it just might swallow us all god or no god.

Trump is the golden calf and we all know what happened to the people who worshiped him.

BTW - Not much to the 60 min episode. Almost everything we knew/heard or suspected

That too

ETA I can’t stand the plastic surgery / fake boobs look. It seems to be an older guy preference, I don’t know anyone under 30 that likes it.

Yea, I didn't expect anything new. From a legal standpoint though, her getting a "hush" payment of $130K 3 days before the election IS a problem for asswipe, this is highly illegal.

Yeah, this is a giant snooze fest. If anything I think they are hurting their credibility with this. Too much hype, not enough substance.
But it got them viewers, and that makes it a win. From SD's (I won't stoop low enough to add the "t") point of view, it just adds to the value of her story. She's going to turn a huge profit on this deal, enough that paying back the $130k will be chump change.

That's all well and good, but what I think is the nub of the issue is, if her life was threatened as she claims it was, and by whom and if that person was hired to do it, who gave the directive.

What I don't understand is why he would have wanted to bone her in the first place. You know the experience, for "little hand", would have been akin to slipping a hotdog into a hallway. He'd have had to strap a 2x4 to his ass to keep from falling in.:D

Do we think she's going to break the nda? I'm a little confused as I thought the story was all about where the payoff money came from, not the specifics of what they did.

My understanding of the the suit, one aspect of it, anyway, is that Cohen already broke the NDA by speaking about it publicly--simply commenting yes/no when this first broke. I think Stormy only started responding in the public after Cohen commented on it when approached by journalists.

Then, I'm not sure if it is wise to go ahead and break the supposed terms before such lawsuits are resolved. Her lawyer seems to be punching way above the level of anyone representing Trump right now, so I'm inclined to trust that they are handling this properly.

I heard something similar, basically since Trumps lawyer spoke first he technically broke the NDA and could be subject to the fine but the fine is so disproportionately large compared to the settlement no lawyer would ever expect to collect it.

Meh...This Stormy Danials interview was a big "bust" IMO..(pardon the pun).

This was more of a one night stand, not an affair...The real affair was with McDougal which lasted almost a year.

So, what really started their relationship off was that she spanked him with a photograph of his own face.lol..WTF

Stormy Daniels herself, and whatever dirt she has, isn't a threat to Donald Trump, but the payment by Trump's lawyer might be something that might pique Mueller's interest.

Trump likes to fuck women who are not his wife? We already knew that; He brags about it. He lies about it. He brags about lying; his base respects him for it. IOW, there was absolutely nothing news-worthy about Stormy's tell-all.

This is a man who has appointed John Bolton to be National Security Advisor. He or his appointees have decimated the Depts. of State, Energy, Education, etc.; decimated the Paris Accord, TPP etc. He has brought worldwide ridicule on the U.S., increased the chance for war or other foreign disaster. Among other things.

And yet nine of the top 10 news hits have been about Stormy. Nothing but Stormy. Have America's priorities become so absurd? However stupid Trump may be, and he appears to be an complete imbecile, the "typical American news consumer" seems to be at least as stupid.

Let's be honest... This Stormy thing/Karen McDougall thing has no bearing on Trump's presidency or even his legitimacy. At best there might be some campaign finance law issues with the $130k, but that's already being investigated and even if it's deemed illegal, it wouldn't be enough to bring down his presidency.

At best, this whole story might have longer term implications on the legality of silencing people based on NDAs with forced arbitration clauses. But at it's worst, this story is nothing more than a semi-staged media circus distracting from bigger issues.
