No TRIM on Marvel 9128 6GB SATA 3 and Intel 520 240GB SSD?

I decided to hold off on Z77, but instead spent money on a new SSD on my X58 Sabratooth board connecting via the Marvel SATA 3 port. I installed the Intel toolbox, but it said the drive is not recognized. I did some research on the net and realize the Marvel doesn't support TRIM. Anyone can confirm this?

Just use the Intel ports. They will perform better and support things like TRIM much better overall with an SSD even though only at SATA2 3G speeds. The Marvel on-board SATA3 ports on the x58 Sabertooth suck with SSD's (yes I have one of these motherboards). They are bearable with HDD's, but for everything except a couple of select benchmark tests, the Intel ports will perform/work better with your SSD and you won't notice any speed difference in real-life useage.

Thanks, That's what I thought until I tried it and the Marvel port showed a 50% improvement on read over the intel port. Write comes in about the same as Intel port.
