Hi.

Now that I am running W7 64 in this new system, suddenly, when I run Superantispyware (free version), I have no tracking cookies! Could this owe to the 64 bit version and different security.....or might it be some add on I chose in my default browser (FX) and did not have in my older system which runs W7 32??? I think I have Do Not Track me in both systems.

Never before, when I ran my scans before I shut a system down, did this happen.

I run Norton IS in both systems, so that couldn't be it.

Thank you.

You can disable them in your browser. That in combination with DNTM does pretty well for me.

Given I am suddenly getting none, is it possible I already have? But I have DNTM in both systems and still get tracking cookies in my older one.. Pls share more specifics re disabling.

Not getting any is entirely foreign to me, and that is why I am asking.

Thanks!!!!

What browser? Are you using ABE or ABP?

As always, my default brower is FX....this last build, I think, 24. Sorry, do not know what either ABE or ABP is.

Edit: I should say, I stopped using Google anything a year ago. My search engine is IXquick. And it is in both systems..

That helps a lot. I have tried to get away from Google in the past but just can't do it. AdBlock Edge is a good ad-on if you haven't tried it yet.

I can't imagine why you can't get away from Google, which, at some point, became obscenely invasive. (I mean, only if you want to, of course.) It was obvious when that reached epic levels.....Chrome especially. Then, there were major stories in the media confirming all of it.

It may be hard to understand why I am posting about something others might see as a happy thing: first time in my life....no tracking cookies.

But when something changes to this dramatic degree, I, at least, want to know why.

CPU centered edit: since looking for a new/used system, and focusing on chips, picking this one for all the reasons I did....my interest has not waned. Your chip is awesome! Incredible, I found a specific comparison between your chip and mine in this new/old system. I knew yours would be rated way better on all counts.....but I was happily surprised to see mine is not as lame as I expected, in the comparison below. In case you're interested:
