I just got my ATI Radeon X800 XL ($299!) PCI-E and I installed ATITOOL for the purpose of monitoring my temps (no overclocking yet). It doesn't show the temp and when I look at the log file it says: "Temperature monitoring not supported by this card." I'm using the 5.3 catalyst drivers and got a score of 5200 on 3dmark05. So It seems that my card is running fine. Shouldn't this awesome card show me some temps?!?! My crappy 6600gt had the temp support build into the drivers!

there arent any.
only xt cards have temp montioring, or cores with a xt card in the lineup. this particular core on th .11 micron die only has the plain x800 and the x800xl so no temp monitor is built in.

Yeah. My X800XTPE has temp monitoring. Sorry dude, looks like your only solution is "dermatemp". (Place finger on heatsink). :)

I have a BBA Radeon X800 XL and it has temp. monitoring via ATITool. You need to use ATITool 0.24 beta 2 or higher. Latest beta version is 0.24 beta 5. You can find it here.

Hey, I only have the .23 version, I will have to try the .24 2+ beta. I won't hold my breath though;)

Really? I thought rivatuner was mostly for Nvidia? I used it on my 6600gt, but I guess I never thought about using it on my X800 XL

By the way, do you guys like you x800 xl? I love mine! I makes my 6600gt look like it was from the stone age!
