I installed some benchmarking, troubleshooting programs on my PC tonight, trying to resolve a GPU/PSU issue. Anyways it seems through this process I have jacked up my sound settings.
I have a ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 which has an onboard Realtek ALC892. I am running Windows 7. Anyways the sound was working earlier while i was testing, retired for the night then I went to play a movie, no love. I tested my speakers with my iphone, they work. I then plugged in my USB headset and it works fine. My speakers are making cracking sound every few minutes when plugged in. I have tried disabling and enabling the sound device and nothing. I have the speakers turned up, they are not muted. I am at a loss what is going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!
