No Sound

I just installed the Audigy ZS. I have a MoBo with on board sound. I forgot to disable it before I installed.

I installed the driver and software and then remembered to disable on board sound.

I am still not getting any sound.

Please help ASAP?

I did a couple things. I ran the TV tuner analog cable into the sound card as opposed to the MoBo. I hooked up the sound card to the DVD drive. Then I reinstalled the TV Tuner card and also unchecked a setting that seems to have done the trick.

However, my mic is still not responding and I know it works because I tried it out on my laptop.

If you get no sound at all, uninstall all your drivers, disable your onboard sound, try reseating your sound card, and install your drivers again... I've had it too... But after this it worked perfectly...

What speaker settings do you have? I got this problem once and I have 5.1 surround. It was set to desktop stereo in Windows. Once I set it to 5.1, the sound came on.

Yeah, I forgot to mentioned that I forgot to disable onboard sound. I did this along with a reinstall. I HAD TO DO BOTH in order for it to work.

However, I still seem to be having problems with my microphone.

I think it has to do with my TV Tuner. See post.
TV Tuner issues...

Any thoughts?
