Just put together my new system, but the only thing that doesn't work is the sound. When I run the speaker test, the 2 rears work at first, but then nothign works. I downloaded the drivers from MSI's website. I am using lgotiech z-540? speakers, 4 speakers and a sub.
I think the problem might have to do with when I was installing the nvidia motherboard drivers, I am so used to installgin all of them on my nforce2 that I selected install the audio driver. I uninstalled the drivers, then installed them again without the audio dirvers. Then i reinstalled the realtek drivers. Is it possible that the nvidia audio drivers are still causing a conflict?
EDIT:
I found out what the problem was. The board has front panal audio headers, but if you aren't going to use them and just want to use the rear jacks, you need to have a jumper on pins 5,6 and 9,10. I bought this board used which explains why the pins didn't have jumpers on them.
