No sound on ic7-g

My ic7-g i just got is producing no sound through the ouput. I have the newest audio driver and i have tested sony headphones and some z560's. Nuthing is coming out of the jack at all. I was thinking maybe sound was disabled in bios but i looked around and it didnt look like it was. Man i have way too many computer problems, maybe i need to get a new hobby(any recomendations?).

I've read a number of threads where people are having trouble with the IC7-G onboard sound. FWIW I have the IC7 and I've disabled the onboard sound and use a TB Santa Cruz. Check the controlas to make sure the setup is correct and nothing is muted.

Try collecting stamps.

DAmn i've been over at the abit forums getting help from a mod and even he cant figure it out. Even tried reformating and installing the drivers from scratch and that didnt help.

It is possible that the onboard sound is defective.

yeah thats what im pretty much coming to the conclusion of. It says its working fine but i think i may have some bad outputs or something.
