No signal from new computer

here's the build:
i7 920
MSI Radeon 4890HD OC edition
OCZ 3x2GB RAM
Asus P6T mobo
Corsair 750W

So my computer will turn on, fans running on the video card and the case, mobo lights up. The computer doesn't beep at me when it is turned on (not sure if that's a wiring error?) It does, however stay on, but my monitor never gets a signal from the computer.

I've been trying to isolate the problem, but the other hardware at my house limited so I cannot test my mobo, processor, or video card on a working system (bad luck since I'm sure that's the problem). I have unplugged the harddrives and tried two different RAM sticks to make sure those weren't the problem. Also, I have tried using two different monitors, using a DVI converter for AGP cables as well as using DVI cables.

The computer not beeping when it boots up sounds like it has the most promise to a solution, but I really don't know where to go from here. Any tips on singling out problems or other help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm leaning towards improperly mounted motherboard. My other thought is that not all the power cables are plugged into your video card and/or motherboard.

I know this is a pain in the ass but you should unplug everything and pull the motherboard out. Then check to make sure all the mounts in the case match up with the holes in the motherboard. Then reinstall the motherboard and reattach all the components. Make sure you've got all the power cables plugged in and then power it on again.

Report back and let us know if it's working.

Would mounting the motherboard improperly really cause it to not work properly? I will definitely try unplugging everything and starting over again before I take the motherboard off again xD Thanks for the input.

Edit: I did plug both PCI-e power cords in the card

Yes, if the motherboard is mounted wrong that can cause serious issues. For example, with the stands not matching up to the holes of the motherboard you could short circuit it and permanently damage it.

Your computer doesn't actually POST. sure it gets POWER, but it does not even boot.
This is usually due to not connecting certain power connections (like CPU).
Or horrid incompatibility / instability. (common occurrence on non hardcore overclocking mobos when first assembled, when changing ram type or speed or voltage, etc)

0. physically unplug power cord, remove battery for A WHOLE MINUTE, put battery back in... this resets CMOS and SHOULD Solve your problem! if not follow below:
1. Check your RAM is listed as compatible with this mobo
2. check your CPU is listed as compatible with this mobo
3. Check the BIOS / hardware revisions supported for each of the above (it might require a bios upgrade first) - if not contact manufacturer to RMA to a newer version of your mobo (or if you have a spare older CPU you can use it to upgrade the firmware yourself)
