There is some really good advice here.

Since you already mentioned self-powered light source and hand-crank radio, this would all be assuming you already have a ton of clean water on hand, a family size tent, lots of canned food with opener, large hand saw, bicycles, and 2 firearms (1 pistol, 1 rifle or shotgun) with plenty of ammunition.
